Celebrities, models, designers and editors were out in full force last night at the ‘Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations’ 2012 Costume Institute Gala in New York. From Coco Rocha in her now infamous vintage Givenchy ensemble (previously owned by Elizabeth Taylor), to Karlie Kloss in a pink number by Jason Wu (possibly my favourite of the evening), the fashion elite certainly brought their best to one of the most glamorous events of the year.
…..Starring Coco Rocha, emceed by Jeanne Beker of Fashion Television, and headlined by Dragonette, it will definitely be an event you do not want to miss!
Strut for a Cure is presented by Fashion Magazine, and will benefit the Coast-to-Coast Against Cancer Foundation. 100% of the money raised will be going towards this amazing organization that focuses on improving the survival rate and quality of life of children impacted by cancer, and their families.
The event will not only include entertainment by Dragonette, but also a variety of international DJ’s including: DJ Jojo Flores, DJ Adrien Villanova, DJ Drek Martinez, and DJ Keidy. Designs by designer Todd Lynn, whose work has appeared in magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, will also be featured.
Strut for a Cure takes place next Thursday May 27th at 7pm, at The Berkeley Church. Tickets are $95 and can be purchased online at www.strutforacure.com
So come out and enjoy this fabulous evening of fashion, music, and entertainment…all for a good cause!
With all of these end of the decade countdowns going on, there have also been plenty of top model lists. Vogue came up with their list of the top models of the decade, and although I agree with most of the choices, there are some I would personally have not included, and others who I would have instead.
Thus, I decided to come up with my own list! Some of the models I have chosen have been around since the end of the previous decade, while there are the ones who have just recently (as in the latter half of these 10 years) been prominent in the fashion world but who have nevertheless made an impact in some shape or form.
