Although still the face of the Balenciaga Florabotanica fragrance, Kristin will have yet another huge fashion job to add to her resume.
Her latest role, which was announced on Tuesday at the Métiers d’Art show in Dallas, sees her starring in the 2013/14 Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection ads.
The campaign will be shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself, and is set to be released in May 2014.
Kristin follows in the footsteps of Blake Lively, Keira Knightley and Diane Kruger, who have also fronted Chanel campaigns in the past.
Reaction on this news has been mixed, but it can’t be denied that the former Twilight star has certainly come up in the fashion world these last few years. And hey, Karl approves!

Alexa and Longchamp. How great of a partnership does that sound? Once again, miss Chung has been chosen as the face of a huge fashion brand. This time, it’s one of my favourites! Longchamp has chosen the television presenter and model to front their spring/summer 2014 and autumn/winter 2014 campaigns. She follows in the footsteps of Kate Moss and Coco Rocha, who also modelled for past campaigns. Rumour has it that Alexa’s relationship with Longchamp started after meeting its international communications director, Marie-Sabine Leclercq, at a dj’ing gig at the brand’s London flagship opening. The campaign, in which Alexa models the new Escales collection, was shot by Max Vadukul last month in St. Tropez.
As most of us are aware, Lana Del Rey is the face for H&M’s Fall 2012 campaign. In my opinion, this was an excellent choice and if you haven’t seen the photos yet, you will now! I think this is definitely one of my favourite ad campaigns, if not my very favourite, of the year. What do you think?
